Corrections and Update Policy

Review Schedule

Published comparison guides are generally reviewed at intervals of up to twelve months. High-traffic, safety-sensitive or rapidly changing topics may be reviewed sooner when new manufacturer documentation, revised standards, product changes or credible correction requests become available.

Source Review

Numerical specifications are primarily based on manufacturer datasheets. Standards, academic publications and established technical reference materials may also be used where additional context or verification is required. Relevant sources, document versions and publication dates are checked as part of the editorial review process.

Publication and Update Dates

Articles display the following date information where applicable:

  • Published: the date the article was first published
  • Updated: the date the article received a meaningful content revision

The Updated date may reflect changes to technical specifications, source material, comparisons, safety guidance, explanations or other substantive information. Routine spelling, formatting, layout and accessibility corrections may not change the displayed update date.

Corrections

Confirmed factual errors are corrected as soon as reasonably possible. Substantive corrections may result in a new Updated date. Minor spelling, formatting, readability and accessibility changes may be applied without being treated as a substantive article update.

Outdated Information

An article may be selected for review when a cited document is replaced, a manufacturer revises a specification, a relevant standard changes or verifiable evidence indicates that a material statement may no longer be accurate.

Technical values can vary because manufacturers may revise formulations, publish regional product versions or report results obtained under different test methods and conditions. Specifications should therefore be interpreted in the context of the cited product, document and testing information.
